Emergency Feeding Grants
School Nutrition Professionals are our heroes! In March 2020 when schools closed across the country, SNF immediately created “Help Feed School Kids Now!” Through this national GoFundMe campaign, more than 200 grants have already been awarded to school nutrition operators during the COVID-19 crisis.
SN operators need their own unique assistance in feeding the millions of children attending school - whether attendance is in-person, virtual or a combination of both. Because their needs are different, these grants allow school districts to purchase exactly what will help their programs the most - food and packaging for grab and go meals, mobile carts and kiosks for curbside service, supplies, personal protection equipment and many other items that the districts need.
SNF established the GoFundMe campaign Help Feed School Kids Now! to reach across the country and be shared beyond the school nutrition population. We have already seen the incredible work these heroes have done. With no immediate solution to the pandemic insight, it’s imperative that we help school nutrition operators feed as many children as possible.
By sharing the GoFundMe link and donating to our cause, you’ll be helping school districts that lack critical funds to purchase necessary equipment and supplies or cover transportation costs, temporary staffing and other expenses associated with feeding school children during a pandemic.
